Black & White for Winter 2016
After several hyper colorful seasons, black and white is back with a vengeance. Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to incorporate the ever so classic color duo into your wardrobe.

Black is making a comeback as the hottest thing in fashion. We hear it almost every season—but according to fashion reports, this time it’s actually true. Among a slew of colors that rocked the Winter 2016 runways, black, together with its polar opposite white definitely ruled the roost, officially becoming the coolest couple of the season.

The two timeless hues are basic staples easily found in anybody’s wardrobe. Spend an afternoon going through your closet, sorting out black and white items you already have. Instead of having them buried in the back of your closet, save them a spot in the front row—as they will be your go-to pieces this season.

To wear the trend, you can always go for black or white—as in monochromatic total looks. You probably already have enough black and white staples in your closet—so the only thing you have to do is to simply pair them up. A black wool skirt teamed up with a slouchy white sweater, a little black dress worn with statement white accessories, a loose, oversized cream colored peacoat worn over an all-black outfit (such as black skinnies and black turtleneck combo) are just a few outfit ideas.

In addition, combining the two timeless colors is even better, as the more traditional bicolor outfit options were some of the hottest looks on the runways. In particular, bold black and white graphic prints are extremely popular at the moment. To give your style a bit of a boost, opt for eye-catching black and white prints in geometric, chevron, floral, and stripe designs and instantly take your fashion to the next level. Whether it be on a dress, top, pant, coat, shirt, or even scarf—sporting bold, black and white statement pieces will definitely earn you some fashion points. For the office, ditch your everyday black blazer for a black and white patterned blazer and instantly transform an otherwise plain work outfit. Wear it teamed up with a white or off-white pencil skirt and a pair of nude heels. For a date out on the town, opt for a black and white floral-inspired printed dress featuring oversized flowers and team it up with a white cape and a pair of black heels and you have a classy look.

Incorporate black and white into your wardrobe now and stay stylish!
