Fringe for Spring 2016
Spring is in the air and it’s time for a style update. Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to incorporate fringes into your spring wardrobe.

Among other trends, fringes were among the bigger hits from the Spring 2016 runways. With the 70s still being the biggest comeback decade, fringes are once again having their moment in fashion. Bits and pieces of fringes were quite often seen on the runways for the past couple of seasons—in everything from skirts, jackets, pants to shoes and bags—normally used to add a hint of texture and glam to an otherwise plain look. This season, designer are taking a step further with fringes and are going extremely bold, using the tasseled trims to make statements.

To wear the season’s retro mood, consider adding spring staples decorated with delicate fringe detailings. Don’t be afraid to go wild this season and wear fringes in unexpected places. From a black leather jacket sliced and diced with the eyelash-like adornment to a v-neck black and white evening dress decorated with super long full-on fringes and a beige knit skirt covered with fringe tiers—70’s-inspired fringes are officially the hottest look of the season, giving us a perfect excuse to wear the trend.

Embrace the bohemian mood of the 70s at work and rock the artful swish and swoosh of the fringe. If you are shy about going all out, you can opt for office wear staples decorated with fringe detailing in a rather subtle way. High-waisted pencil skirts, tapered pants, blouses, knit vests, cardigans, and blazers decorated with fringes are among the office wear must-haves for the spring season. On a day when you feel like dressing up, ditch your everyday black pencil skirt and opt for a beige knit skirt covered in tiers of the fringe adornment. Team up the knit skirt with a loose-fitting knit top, in a similar color as the skirt—and create a matching “set” look—a hot look trending at the moment. In addition, authentic vintage versions of the fringe jackets can be a nice alternative to an everyday black blazer. Whether oversized or fitted, long or short/cropped, designers are loving the ever-so-chic fringe jackets this spring. To glam up your office look, opt for a cropped, tan colored suede jacket featuring delicate fringe detailing and wear it teamed up with something as plain as a pair of black slacks—and take your fashion to the next level.

Fringes are a huge trend in accessories as well. Make an instant celebrity style statement with any of your favorite spring accessories decorated with fringes. You can keep your outfit simple and rock fringe accessories such as gorgeous fringed clutch bags, pocketbooks, sandals, earrings, necklaces and so much more—and instantly give your style a boost!

Wear fringes and incorporate the “boho” vibe into your spring wardrobe now!
