Bare Shoulders for Summer 2016
The temperatures are rising and it’s time for a style update! Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to rock the off-the-shoulder look—one hot trend definitely topping the trend charts at the moment.

The bare shoulder look is all the rage at the moment. Spotted on both the runways and the streets, designers and fashionistas are certain that the off-the-shoulder is the new neckline for summer 2016.

Opt for off-the-shoulder dresses
Cold shoulder details certainly add a hint of allure to a look. For a night out on the town, switch out your usual LBD (little black dress) for a flowy midi-length dress featuring a cold shoulder neckline and instantly take your style from drab to fab. Remember, midi-length skirts are in style this season. Choose hemlines that fall below the knee and flaunt your fashion sense. Complete the look with a pair of stilettos and a metallic clutch and you have a chic outfit. Keep the look simple with minimal accessories and let the bare shoulder be the focal point of your outfit. For a stroll along the beach, choose a boxy, off-the-shoulder breezy sundress and wear it teamed up with a floppy hat and a pair of sandals.

Pair with high-waisted trousers & pencil skirts
Off-the-shoulder tops are a fun way to update an otherwise plain office outfit. This season, designers are giving the bare shoulder look a nostalgic 70s vibe with plenty of bright colors, plunging necklines, and ruffle detailings along the edges. For the office, opt for a chic off-the-shoulder blouse and revamp your work wardrobe. For those used to dressing more on the conservative side, rest assured—as there are plenty of not-too-revealing designs to choose from. To update your style in time for the new season ahead, switch out your regular white buttondown for a loose, tunic-style off-the-shoulder top. Pair it with an understated skirt in the same color as the top and create a matching set-look—a hot look that’s totally wearable.

Pair with denim
If you ever feel yourself stuck in a wardrobe rut, consider reinvigorating your look with an off-the-shoulder top. For casual outings, experiment with lots of designs available this summer—everything from bare-shoulder crop tops, ruffled blouses to jump suits and long column dresses. And of course, denim is the perfect complement to any of these tops. For a casual twist, pair off-the-shoulder tops with denim pants and skirts (go for mini, midi, or maxi depending on your preference) and summer shoes such as gladiator sandals and wedges and create an effortlessly chic outfit.

Prepare to bare now and stay stylish!
