Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to wear stripes—a forever fashion trend that is here to stay this season.

If you are new to the trend, start with the classic navy blue-and-white nautical stripes we all know and love. A nautical striped dressed teamed with a pair of laced up sandals will make for a stylish summer outfit, appropriate for casual outings. For men, switch out your everyday white buttondowns for a nautical striped shirt, team it up with a pair of white jeans and instantly update your office look. As for the shoes, switch up your everyday sandals for a chic pair of oxford flats—and you have a chic summer outfit.

* Multi-color & Multi-directional Stripes
This season, we are definitely saying hello to louder and bolder designs of stripes. As seen on the Summer 2017 runways, multi-color and multi-directional stripes are super hot at the moment, giving us a perfect excuse to wear the trend. Sport bold, vertical stripes in a clash of primary colors and revamp your style in an instant. For a perfect summer holiday look, choose a flowy striped maxi dress featuring loud, bright stripes in greens, pinks, and yellows and complete the look with a pair of wedges. You can also opt for a louder look by going for stripes that zig zag every which way, which is completely on-trend this season.

* Stripe-on-Stripe
Lastly, double up on striped separates and create extra impact. For a fun twist on your everyday look, go for a full-fledged stripe-on-stripe look and wear a striped sleeveless top teamed with a striped skirt. Mix and match different colors on the top and the bottom and create a chic two-toned look. As for the trendiest colors, think lego-inspired hues—red, yellow, green, and blue—and opt for stripes in varying sizes.
