The 48th annual Baeksang Arts Awards was held on April 26th at the Seoul Olympic Hall. Many of the nation's top stars were in attendance. The emcees for the night were Kim Ah-joong and Lee Hwi-jae. The awards was divided into two parts: TV and film. The SBS drama "Tree With Deep Roots" and the film "Nameless Gangster" won the top honors in each category. The best actors in the TV category were Kim Soo-hyun and Gong Hyo-jing. The best actors in the film category were Ahn Sung-gi and Uhm Jung-hwa. The Best Newbie Awards went to Suzy, Kim Sung-gyun, UE, and Joo-won.
