Dr. Yi Hye-gyung was the chairwoman of the eighth Women's Film Festival in Seoul that ran from April 6-14, a non-competitive event with partial competitive categories.

Roz Payne is a faculty member of Burlington College in Vermont who attended the festival. She was active in the Newsreel Collective of independent filmmakers who made political documentaries in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
