Betsy Piper is a retired school librarian from the U.S. state of Maryland who has continued her profession at Seoul Foreign School.

She is the manager of the Seoul Book Club, a group which discusses books once a month, and is also active in the American Women's Club.

She arrived in Seoul in 2001 with her husband Harold Piper, a former editor with the Baltimore Sun who assumed a management position with the English Joongang Daily.
