Dr. Edward P. Reed

Dr. Edward P. Reed is the representative in Seoul of the Asia Foundation, a position which he assumed in September 2004.

Reed first came to South Korea as a Peace Corps volunteer and has also served as country director for North Korea for World Vision from 1997-2000.

Reed holds a bachelor's from St. Meinrad College and master's degrees in public policy and agricultural economics and a Ph.D. in developmental studies from the University of Wisconsin, where he also taught.

As the only U.S. non-governmental organization with an office in South Korea, the foundation cooperates with partners in South Korea to discuss and form solutions to key public policy issues facing the country.
