Michael Kang-Sik Lee is a Korean-American theatrical actor who is performing in South Korea's premiere run of the hit Broadway musical "Miss Saigon."
Raised in Brooklyn, New York, he enrolled at Stanford University but his desire for the stage got him involved in student theater productions. He decided to pursue acting full-time after graduation despite protests from his parents.
At age 22, he achieved a lifelong dream by landing the lead part of Thuy on the Broadway production of "Miss Saigon." He has starred in almost 30 plays, revues or musicals, including "Rent," "Mame" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."
Kim has also appeared in independent films and done guest spots on TV shows. His study of the piano and violin as a child piqued his interest in the performing arts.
