Kim Dal-jin, a Pioneering Archivist of Korean Modern and Contemporary Art

Kim Dal-jin, the founder and director of Kim Dal-jin Art Archives and Museum is a pioneering archivist of Korean modern and contemporary art.

Kim has been roaming around art galleries all across Korea to collect art pieces and information on Korea Modern Art for the past 46 years.

He is also known as an expert on Korea’s art circles and for establishing an art magazine.

His love for art motivated him to collect magazine with artworks, scrap related news articles and search art galleries to collect, preserve and analyze art related archives. Korea’s art world calls Kim the “human art reference room” and a “living cultural asset”.
