Zimbabwe Seeks More Investment from Korea

The president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, is seeking more investment from South Korea.

In a meeting with South Korean businesspeople Thursday, Mugabe said his country will guarantee the safety of foreign investors and actively back their investments.

He added that his country, in an effort to attract increased foreign investment, will open all sectors of the marketplace to interested investors. Previously, foreign investment in Zimbabwe had been restricted to a limited number of backbone industries.

The African country is rich in natural resources such as coal, gold and diamonds.
