PM Seeks Japan's Help for Green Development

A Japanese newspaper says South Korea is looking for cooperation from Japan to develop eco-friendly technologies.

In an exclusive interview with the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo said cooperation between the two countries is essential to the development of renewable energy sources that are safe for the environment.

Han also promised active support for Japanese parts and materials manufacturers who are looking to open up shop in South Korea.

The prime minister will visit Japan next week to seek out new business partners in eco-friendly industries and to attract parts and material companies to South Korea.
