Gov't Discusses FTA, Air Route with Mexico

South Korea and Mexico have agreed to work to resume free trade talks and to discuss the opening of a direct bilateral air route.

The Korean embassy in Mexico says the agreements were reached during the fourth bilateral policy consultation talks held in Mexico City between Vice Foreign Minister Kwon Jong-rak and his Mexican counterpart Lourdes Aranda Bezaury.

The two sides also agreed to cooperate through the Group of 20 framework to overcome the global economic downturn.
