China has reportedly formed a special team that will be charged with implementing new U.N. sanctions against North Korea.

A U.S. government official said Friday that a U.S. delegation led by Philip Goldberg, the State Department's point man on coordinating implementation of the sanctions, met with a group of officials from China’s foreign ministry, central bank, customs agency and other government ministries when the U.S. officials visited Beijing last week.

The official noted that China had swiftly formed a team comprised of officials from various government agencies to implement the new sanctions against Pyongyang.
