Clinton Seeks Tougher Joint Effort on NK Nukes

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says members of the international community must continue to come together to help facilitate the complete and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

In a speech delivered at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington Wednesday, Clinton said there have been a number of short-term results of U.S. efforts to resolve North Korea's nuclear issue, including two unanimous U.N. Security Council resolutions with real consequences for the North.

She added that China, Russia, and India are joining the U.S. in actively persuading U.N. members to comply with the resolutions.
