Chinese PM to Meet NK Leader in P'yang

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in North Korea Sunday for a three-day visit that will include talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and events marking 60 years of bilateral ties.

His visit reciprocates North Korean Prime Minister Kim Yong-il's visit to China in March.

Wen's meeting with Kim Jong-il could come as early as Monday. The Chinese official is expected to discuss Pyongyang's return to the six-party nuclear talks and bilateral economic exchanges, including Chinese grants to the North.

Attention is high on if Wen's visit could achieve a breakthrough in the North's nuclear program.

The last top-level Chinese official to visit the North was President Hu Jintao in 2005.
