A North Korean member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) says Germany’s Munich will be the biggest threat to South Korea’s bid to make Pyeongchang the host of the Winter Olympics.

North Korea’s IOC Commissioner Chang Ung said in Copenhagen on Wednesday (Korean time) that Pyeongchang is facing stiff competition in its third bid to host the Winter Olympics.

The commissioner made the comments during the 121st IOC Session and 13th Olympic Congress, which are currently under way in the Danish capital.

Chang said the South Korean city will face fierce competition from Munich and France’s Annecy for the Olympic nod.
