A Russian foreign ministry official says concerned parties must make use of North Korea's willingness to resume the six-way nuclear talks.

In a Monday commentary about the Saturday summit between South Korea, China and Japan, the official said Russia is also ready to participate in the six-way talks and that Pyongyang's favorable attitude to a possible reopening of the talks must be utilized.

After the summit in Beijing with South Korean and Japanese leaders, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said that resuming the nuclear talks will be exceedingly more difficult if the six nations are unable to take advantage of this current opportunity.
