Russia says it is puzzled by North Korea’s launch of short-range missiles on Monday.

Russia's Interfax news agency cited a Moscow foreign ministry official as saying that now is not the most suitable time to fire missiles, when all efforts are being made to restart six-way talks on the nuclear problem.

Russia’s official ITAR-Tass news agency also quoted foreign ministry sources as saying that Russia is bewildered by North Korea's short-range missile launches.

Moscow has maintained that its priority in the situation is restarting the six-way talks.
