Clinton: No Intent to Ease NK Sanctions

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the U.S. currently has no intent to ease sanctions on North Korea.

In a joint news conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after the two held talks in Moscow, Clinton said Washington has "absolutely no intention of relaxing or offering to relax North Korean sanctions at this point whatsoever" and that it is continuing to look to restart the six-party denuclearization process.

She also thanked Russia for its cooperation on the nuclear issue.

On Iran, Clinton said that although the Islamic republic's nuclear drive remains a serious concern, she does not believe additional sanctions should be sought at this point in time.
