N.Korean Asylum Seekers in Hanoi Leave for Seoul

A group of North Korean asylum seekers who were living at a Danish embassy in Vietnam have left for Seoul.

A Vietnamese government official said that nine North Koreans left the Danish mission in Hanoi and will stop over in Singapore en route to Seoul.

They entered the embassy compound on September 24th, seeking political asylum.

All defectors from North Korea who are able to make it to the South are granted asylum by the Seoul government.
