The U.S. Congressional Research Service says North Korea may be transferring weapons of mass destruction and missile technology to Syria via Iran.

In a recently released report, the service said it is concerned that Iran is believed to be the go-between in North Korea's transfer of various WMD and missile technologies to Syria.

The service gave in-depth descriptions of Iran's stockpile of conventional weaponry and speculated that the nation may have imported small submarines from North Korea.
