US Bill Urges Review of NK on Terror Blacklist

The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives are confirmed to have passed a bill last week requesting that the government decide within one month whether it will put North Korea back on a list of terror-sponsoring nations.

U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to sign the bill as early as this week, after which Congress will work to determine whether North Korea has either supported terror-related activities or has taken measures to prevent weapons of mass destruction from falling into the hands of terrorist groups.

Congress said if North Korea is found to have sponsored terrorist activities, the secretary of state will have no choice but to place the North back on the terror blacklist.
