China Southern Airlines is expected to operate a direct flight from Jilin to the North Korean capital of Pyongyang starting June 20th.

An official at the Jilin branch of the airline says the North Korean tourism authority is negotiating the details of the route with Jilin’s tourism authority.

Although Changchun in Jilin is the most likely departure point, there is also the possibility that Yanji, the capital of the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin, will be selected.
