US Lawmakers Submit Bills on Adoption of NK Orphans

U.S. lawmakers have submitted to Congress bills promoting the adoption of orphaned children who have escaped from North Korea and are staying in foreign countries.

Republican Representative Ed Royce submitted a bill on the adoption of North Korean orphans to the House of Representatives on Friday.

The bill calls on the U.S. to provide for the orphans and help them find new families if necessary.

Republican Senator Sam Brownback also submitted a similar bill to the Senate on March 23rd.
