The foreign ministers of the Group of Eight nations have called on North Korea to swiftly return to the stalled six-way nuclear talks.

The ministers made the call after wrapping up a two-day meeting on global security in Canada on Wednesday.

The ministers also urged the international community to further pressure Iran to scrap its nuclear ambitions, adding that the nuclear programs of both Iran and North Korea are a serious challenge to global security.
