A Hong Kong-based Chinese-language newspaper says that more and more Chinese people are coming to South Korea to have plastic surgery.

The Mingpao daily reports that 656 Chinese people had surgery at 51 plastic surgery clinics in the Gangnam district of Seoul last year.

The number of Chinese customers was nearly five times the number in 2008.

The Chinese Embassy in Seoul advises Chinese people to obtain contracts from Korean clinics prior to surgery, noting growth in the number of medical disputes between Korean doctors and Chinese patients.
