A growing number of people are canceling travel plans to Thailand due to the ongoing antigovernment protests in the Southeast Asian country.

Hanatour and Lotte Tour said Monday that the customers who have expressed concerns about the protests have been informed that the rallies are taking place mainly around the government complex in Bangkok. The tourism agencies are suggesting that customers change their travel destination or delay travel plans.

The two agencies added that currently some 500 Koreans are currently traveling in Thailand after having their tour schedules adjusted to avoid Bangkok.
