'S.Korea's Hosting of 2012 Nuke Summit is a Rebuke to NK'

Top international media say the decision to have South Korea host the second Nuclear Security Summit in 2012 is Washington’s way of informing North Korea that its nuclear aspirations will not be overlooked.

AFP said the U.S. made the decision to open the second nuclear gathering in South Korea as an implied rebuke to North Korea over its nuclear defiance.

Reuters said the announcement that South Korea would host the second nuclear event sends a clear signal to Pyongyang, whose development of a nuclear bomb has raised serious security concerns in the region.

CNN said that by hosting the second nuclear summit, South Korea will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of the contentious issue of nonproliferation.
