US: NK's Behavior Affects Mood for Nuke Talks

The United States is maintaining a prudent stance on the possibility of North Korea’s involvement in the sinking of the “Cheonan.”

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters Thursday that the U.S. is cooperating with South Korea on the investigation into what caused the ship to sink.

He said Washington has no information at this point that might show that the ship was brought down by an external factor.

Although nothing has been confirmed, Crowley said that North Korea's behavior in the region has an impact in terms of creating the atmosphere for the six-party talks to move forward.
