'Tokyo Official to Invite ex-NK Agent to Japan'

A top Tokyo official will visit Seoul later this month to invite to Japan a former North Korean agent who defected to South Korea.

Japan’s Sankei Shimbun daily says Hiroshi Nakai, the Japanese minister in charge of the issue of the Japanese abducted by North Korea, will visit South Korea at the end of this month.

He's expected to request Seoul's cooperation in inviting Kim Hyeon-hee, the bomber of a Korean Air flight in 1987, to Japan next month.

Japan is trying to arrange a visit between Kim and the family of a Japanese abductee who taught Japanese to Kim in North Korea.
