S.Korean Named to ITU Council for 6th Straight Time

South Korea has been named to the council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for the sixth consecutive time.

The Korea Communications Commission said the nation will serve another four-year term on the council following a vote at the union’s 18th plenipotentiary conference under way in Guadalajara, Mexico.

South Korea will host the ITU’s plenipotentiary conference in 2014.
