Amb. Hopes to Settle FTA Matter before G20 Summit

South Korea’s ambassador to the U.S. says Seoul will seek to settle differences with Washington over a bilateral free trade agreement before Seoul hosts the G20 summit next month.

Han Duck-soo made the comment on Wednesday during a parliamentary inquiry of the Korean Embassy in Washington.

Asked if Seoul is planning to make additional compromises in regards to the accord, Han said he has no plans to renegotiate and will focus on reaching an agreement acceptable to both sides.

On the North's third generation father-to-son power succession, Han said Washington is closely watching the situation.
