The deputy chief of the Presidential Committee for the G20 Summit said Wednesday that the gathering in Seoul will host discussions on ways to prevent fluctuations in food prices.

Lee Chang-yong made the remark Wednesday, adding that funding to support infrastructure to improve farming productivity has already been established.

Lee added that the talks will focus on regulating derivative products and food-related markets in order to minimize fluctuations in food prices.

Plans to ease such fluctuations were a big part of discussions at the G20 summits in Pittsburgh and Toronto.
