Seoul City to Host Korean Food Festival at UN

Seoul City will host a Korean food festival at the United Nations in New York on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly set for Monday through Friday.

Six renowned Korean chefs will introduce traditional Korean cuisine at the cafe inside U.N. headquarters, including temple food and court cuisine.

Events and programs will be held on the first day of the festival Monday, including a presentation on making bibimbap and showing promotional videos on Korean food.

A Seoul city official says the festival aims to help raise the nation's global status and promote Korean food ahead of the G20 summit in Seoul next month.
