S.Korea Issues Travel Warnings for Mexican States

The Foreign Ministry has upgraded its travel advisory for two Mexican states from “Level One” to “Level Two.”

As a result, a total of three Mexican states --- Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Chihuahua --- are subject to the South Korean government’s travel advisory.

It also issued the Level One travel advisory for two other states in the nation: Sinaloa and Michoacán.

The ministry announced the issuance of the travel advisories due to recent criminal activity in the areas, continued havoc wrought by armed drug organizations and poor security in areas near the border with the U.S.
