A new report finds South Korea posted the highest rate of Internet usage among G20 member nations in 2008.

The European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat, released related data for each member of the Group of 20 ahead of the G20 summit in Seoul next month.

The report says 77 percent of South Koreans aged 16 to 74 were using the Internet as of 2008.

The rate was 73 percent in Canada, 72 percent in the U.S. and 69 percent in Japan.

The report also put South Korea's life expectancy at 79-point-four years, longer than those of the EU and the U.S. but shorter than those of Japan, Australia and Canada.
