USFK Chief: NK Started Korean War

The commander of U.S. forces in South Korea, General Walter Sharp, says North Korea started the Korean War.

Sharp said in Washington on Tuesday that the world fought together in the war against the North's aggression, refuting recent comments on the war made by Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping.

Xi on Monday said that the Korean War was a “great victory in the pursuit of world peace and human progress” and was a "just war for safeguarding peace and resisting aggression."
