Chinese Officials Return from Trip to NK

A ranking military delegation from China has wrapped up a visit to North Korea to attend an event to mark the 60th anniversary of China's participation in the Korean War.

North Korea's Korean Central Television reported Wednesday that the delegates delivered gifts to North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and his son and political heir Kim Jong-un.

The delegation, led by Guo Boxiong, vice chairman of the Chinese Communist Party's Central Military Commission, held talks with the elder Kim and other North Korean leaders Monday and also stressed the importance of bilateral ties in a handwritten message delivered to the North Korean leader.

The delegates returned to China on Wednesday.
