S.Korean Pavilion Draws 7 Million Visitors at Shanghai Expo

More than seven million people have visited the South Korean pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo, which ends October 31st after a 184-day run.

The figure is equivalent to about ten percent of the overall number of people who have visited the Shanghai Expo and five times more than the number of Chinese tourists who visited South Korea last year.

South Korea initially aimed to attract six million visitors to its pavilion.

The head of the South Korean pavilion expects the success at the Shanghai Expo will greatly boost South Korean products’ share in the Chinese market.

South Korea plans to use its experiences in Shanghai when hosting the 2012 Yeosu Expo.
