Lee Holds Summit with Indian PM

President Lee Myung-bak, who is in Vietnam for the ASEAN Plus Three summit, met with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday to discuss collaborative measures for the Group of 20 summit in Seoul next month.

Lee explained the status of a number of the agendas for the G20 summit and asked for India’s cooperation in making the gathering a success, to which Singh agreed.

The two leaders shared the opinion that bilateral cooperation has been rapidly expanding since the establishment of their bilateral strategic partnership earlier this year. They agreed to increase their scope of cooperation into areas such as nuclear energy, defense and trade.
