A group of overseas South Korean business leaders has opened an office in Mexico.

The new division of the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (World-OKTA) held an opening ceremony on Thursday in Mexico City at the Latin American headquarters for the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). South Korea’s ambassador to Mexico and the chief of KOTRA’s Latin American operations were in attendance.

The World-OKTA Mexico division will operate at the KOTRA Center in Mexico to hold trade meetings and economic forums. It will also provide online assistance through its Web site.

The Mexican division plans to provide information about the Mexican market to South Koreans and South Korean companies doing business there.
