Blueprint for G20 Summit Agenda Fine-tuned

Vice ministers and sherpas in charge of working-group discussions have begun negotiations on key agendas ahead of the G20 summit in Seoul, which opens for a two-day run on Thursday.

The sherpa meetings, led by chief of the G20 preparatory committee Lee Chang-yong, aim to devise ways to support growth potential in underdeveloped nations.

Vice finance ministers of nations that will participate in the summit met on Monday and Tuesday in Seoul, where they reached common ground on external uncertainties related to disputes on exchange rates. The vice ministers, however, still remain wide apart on guidelines for current account balance reform.

The sherpas and vice ministers will get together on Wednesday to draft a declaration on the summit agenda. The draft will be issued at the end of the summit.
