A South Korean school in Egypt has been attacked by locals, as violent antigovernment protests continue in the Arab nation.

A group of five to six men attempted to break into the school and steal computers and other school supplies. The school is an authorized institute located on the outskirts of Cairo.

Spotting the men, a school security guard quickly left the school to get help. Ten young local men helped to chase them away.

Some 30 South Korean students attend the school, which was temporarily closed on Sunday for one month. Once public order is stabilized in Egypt, the school is expected to begin its new semester in early March.
