US Seeks Appropriate Venue to Discuss NK's UEP

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs Kurt Campbell says the U.S. is seeking a proper venue to discuss North Korea’s uranium enrichment program (UEP).

Speaking at a press briefing at the Foreign Press Center on Wednesday, Campbell said Washington is working closely with its allies and friends to find the appropriate venue to press their case on the North's uranium program.

He made the comment after being asked whether the North’s uranium program will be addressed at the U.N. Security Council or at the six-way nuclear talks.

Campbell added the U.S. continues to monitor the humanitarian situation in North Korea but has no plans to send any humanitarian aid at this time.
