UNSC Committee on NK to Convene Meeting in Late Feb.

The U.N. Security Council’s committee overseeing sanctions on North Korea will convene a regular meeting on February 23rd.

An official from South Korea’s Foreign Ministry said the meeting is expected to serve as a starting point for addressing North Korea’s uranium enrichment program.

At the meeting, the committee could officially adopt the recent report by a panel of experts that said North Korea’s uranium enrichment program is more advanced than that of Iran.

The sanctions committee on North Korea is comprised of representatives from 15 countries including the U.S. and China.
