Planes Heading to Tripoli to Evacuate S.Koreans

A chartered plane sent to evacuate South Koreans in Libya has departed from Cairo and is now heading toward Tripoli.

The plane, which can accommodate up to 260 passengers, is expected to set out for Cairo from Tripoli International Airport carrying the South Koreans at around 4 p.m., Korean time.

Meanwhile, a special Korean Air plane that can accommodate up to 330 passengers has left Incheon International Airport and is also heading toward Tripoli. The plane is scheduled to arrive in the Libyan capital at around 6 p.m. Saturday.

The plane is expected to return to Incheon International Airport carrying South Koreans at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
