Seoul Ready to Evacuate Remaining S.Koreans from Libya

South Korea says that 114 of its nationals remain in Libya amid the bloody political unrest there.

Foreign Ministry official Park Seok-hwan said preparations are being made to evacuate the South Koreans. The preparations include the establishment of a team to handle evacuations and rentals of airplanes.

Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs official Jeong Chang-su said ways are being discussed to help prevent South Korean construction companies from facing a short-term credit crunch in the event they cannot recover their outstanding payments from Libya.

South Korean construction companies have seven-point-four billion dollars in outstanding payments due from Libya.
