Fear of Radiation Catastrophe Unsettles S.Koreans in Japan

The fear of a potential catastrophe from a radiation leakage from a Japanese nuclear plant is unsettling South Korean workers and officials stationed in Japan.

Some of the employees and officials in Tokyo sent their families back home or to Japan’s southern regions.

With many South Koreans in Japan rushing to return home, airline tickets from Tokyo to South Korea have increased sharply as the flights are almost fully booked until this weekend.

The South Korean Embassy in Japan asked its employees and their families to stay calm and banned trips to South Korea for the time being.
