S.Korean Team Continuing Search Operations in Japan

Search operations by South Korean rescue workers in Japan have entered their second day.

A team of South Korean workers is now working with Japanese police to find earthquake survivors in Tagajo City in Miyagi Prefecture.

Previously, the South Korean rescue team located the bodies of 12 people in the northeastern part of Sendai City on Tuesday.

But the search and rescue operations are not going smoothly due to communications problems and road conditions.

The South Korean team will move to a coastal area of Sendai to continue search operations once the Japanese government gives the go-ahead. Some 70 ethnic Koreans live in the area.
